  • Undergraduate Programs : The majors and minors at IAU reflect the site-specificity of the campus in Southern France and the Mediterranean, and build upon IAU's academic tradition as a leader in international education. IAU offers six different bachelor's programs in Art History, French, International Business, International Relations, Visual Arts, and Painting.

  • Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Painting or Sculpture: The Marchutz School of Fine Arts is proud to announce a two-year MFA degree program in painting or sculpture in Aix-en-Provence, France. The 60-credit program is conducted in English and accepts artists of diverse interests and backgrounds. The program combines daily studio work, seminars, museum studies, field studies throughout Europe, professional internship opportunities, and a low-residency option.

  • Master of Arts in French Studies (MAFS): The Master of Arts in French Studies (MAFS) at IAU is a one-year program that offers students the unique opportunity to earn an American MA degree in a Fr­ench-speaking environment. Situated in Aix-en-Provence, France near the Mediterranean coast, IAU’s program unites mainland French with the Francophone countries of North Africa, ensuring that students are exposed to the rich diversity of the French language and culture.

  • Master of Arts in International Relations (MAIR): The IAU Master of Arts in International Relations is a one-year Master’s degree leveraging IAU’s strategic location in Southern France. The founders of IAU had this in mind when they constructed a curriculum based in Political Science and International Relations. The Humanities and Social Sciences have always played an important role at IAU and will naturally serve as the intellectual backbone of the MA in International Relations.

  • Master of Arts in Art History : The IAU Master of Arts in Art History (MAAH) is a one-year Master’s degree which draws upon IAU’s stunning location in Southern France. The program builds on IAU’s academic tradition as one of the first American institutions abroad to create a full studio art and art history curriculum founded on the rich art and art historical traditions of the south of France and, in particular, Aix-en-Provence.
